In the fall of 2005, Child Saving Institute created the Nebraska Heart Gallery to showcase older children available for adoption in the Omaha area. Child Saving Institute’s mission has always been “Responding to the cry of a child” and with your help, we continue to respond to the needs of older children and youth awaiting a safe, nurturing Forever Family.

Lonnie is a vivacious teenager! This avid reader, evidenced by her filled bookshelves and boxes of books, also enjoys scrapbooking and being creative. Lonnie dreams of traveling the world and hopes to visit Paris one day where she can witness its beautiful fashion and taste delicious foods. In the future, Lonnie aspires to become a clothing designer; she also says she would love to someday become a foster parent herself. She enjoys food and socializing over meals. She’s interested exploring her curiosity of cooking and baking. Lonnie is social and enjoys spending time with others. She would thrive having a balance of stability and routine in her forever family. Lonnie has done well while living with other children, but she has also enjoyed being an only child.
